Everyone talks about reliability and good bandwith, but since this the focus of Nixracks, we can explain it in detail. Reliability starts out with the dedicated server unit itself. Reliable hardware is part of the entire picture of high uptime. Our servers are based on the Supermicro platform. Those in the web hosting business, can confirm that Supermicro servers are as reliable as hardware from larger companies such as HP and IBM, but with one important difference – the price is much more attainable. We also use Intel CPUs and quality RAM from reputable companies. Again our aim is excellent reliability at affordable prices.

Our bandwidth is multi-homed in a secure data center with biometric scanners and fire-suppressing technology. Multiple backbones ensure constant uptime even when one source goes down. We have 24/7 monitoring with staff that is onsite in the middle of the night, which should give you peace of mind.

If a server fails, we have extra parts on hand to make a quick replacement. Each customer has the option, for a small monthly fee, to access our network attached storage device in order to make “self-service” backups that are available in case of a hard drive failure. Our 3ware RAID controller cards, another configuration option, provides a higher level of uptime. A failed hard drive must be replaced, but the server is still fully functional with the remaining hard drive.

Our customer service provides a reliable method of contacting us even during the off hours such as the middle of the night or on the weekends. In addition to live chat during business hours, we provide emergency email addresses that go directly to our on-call staff 24/7. Our sys admins receive a page when a voicemail is recorded during the middle of the night.
